Kyoto Ramen Since 1947 Arrives in Osaka at Honke Daiichi Asahi Tenma
The Kyoto Station ramen shop famous for its long lines opened its first Osaka location in Tenma in October 2025. Honke Daiichi Asahi Tenma is a directly operated branch carrying on the flavor established in 1947. It is five minutes from JR Temma Station and serves continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.

The shop is in Kawabe Building at 5-8-8 Tenjinbashi, five minutes from JR Temma Station and about six from both Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome and Ogimachi stations. It sits between Tenma and Tenroku along the shopping street. The 20-seat room has eight counter seats and three four-person tables, offering a compact, calm setting for solo diners and groups.

Honke Daiichi Asahi began in 1947 and has long drawn queues near Kyoto Station. The Tenma branch opened October 31, 2025 as the brand's first Osaka shop and a direct branch rather than a licensed offshoot, bringing nearly 80 years of Kyoto ramen tradition to Tenma.
Fushimi Raw Soy Sauce and Kujo Green Onions
The bowl uses raw soy sauce from Fushimi, Kujo green onions, and specially made noodles, following the Kyoto flagship's combination. A generous green-onion topping covers a pork-based soy broth that is softer than its dark color suggests. Medium-thin noodles lift the soup well, and ramen costs ¥980. A seared chashu rice bowl is also available, keeping a ramen-and-side meal in the ¥1,000 range.

The shop opens at 10:00 and serves until 12:30 a.m., with last orders at midnight. The unusually long continuous schedule works for an early meal, late lunch, dinner, or ramen after drinks. Thursday is the regular closing day, with occasional additional closures, so check before a planned trip.
